An informal group has formed as a result of the Division of Recreation and Park’s proposal to temporarily close Dudley Farm Historic State Park as part of an overall reduction in the Division’s annual budget request.
This group is separate and distinct from the citizens support organization (CSO) Friends of Dudley Farm, Inc. The group is not funded by Friends of Dudley Farm, Inc. and activities of the two groups are not combined.
There are no formal officers of this group but Jim Dresser is currently providing general coordination. Jim can be reached at info@SaveDudleyFarm.org. Many others have stepped forward to undertake specific initiatives, serve as spokesmen and provide much needed direction and guidance.
As would be expected the people most interested in Dudley Farm are members of the CSO and many are also involved with this group. Friends of Dudley Farm, Inc. has allowed this group to have an information booth at the annual Cane Day December 6th. We very much appreciate the CSO’s cooperation.
